Some time ago I watched a programme on BBC about ancient, Pictish dwelling excavated on Orkney Isle. Inspired by plans of scavenged sanctuary I created a pendant that replicated what archaeologists found on the site. The programme inspired me to find out and read more about Picts and their culture. I was looking for more inspiration to design further jewellery pieces.
I found most interest in studying Pictish symbols often left on stones and obelisks around Britain. I then replicated them onto the silver sheets to create new “Pictographic” collection.
